Meditation
Meditation is a state of being, to simply be in that moment.
There are many interpretations of meditation, many styles and ways in which to meditate. From my point of view, it is about putting yourself in that moment, just allowing yourself to simply be. When you do this, you allow yourself to be open and expansive, thus increasing your awareness and perception, to be more open and receptive to all that comes your way. Helping to better deal with obstacles and challenges with clarity and focus. Bringing your mind, thoughts and emotions to that moment, creating a place within yourself, of calm, balance and serenity, so as not to be distracted by influence or expectation from the world around you, to be in your own moment of truth.
There is a lot more to Meditation than people might think, as it is simply about just being in that moment. This is done on a daily basis by most of us, in ways many of us dont even realise, such as: daydreaming, getting lost in the moment with a book/film/music, to be so focused and in the zone, exercise and so forth. The meditation techniques are there to help enhance this, with some of the benefits of such listed below.
